We're back to the drawing board on both Reflecta and Read Papers Fast. For Reflecta, we realized we need to nail one simple thing: letting founders dump their thoughts seamlessly throughout the day. The current prototype focuses on an infinite timeline instead of scattered notes across different apps.
Read Papers Fast pivoted too. After talking to students, we found the real problem isn't reading papers—it's finding the right secondary literature for research. So we're building something that evaluates paper relevance to your research question.
The bigger insight: AI tools let you build prototypes in days instead of weeks. But figuring out what people actually want hasn't gotten easier. That's still the hard part.
We're also changing how Acta works. Instead of a pure venture studio, founders now get their own legal entities with 20% equity per founder and $100k to reach initial revenue. More independence, better aligned incentives.
Started daily morning meditation circles (open to anyone interested—reach out if you want to join). And we're building a stronger thinking culture where real thinking happens in writing before meetings, not during them.
